Technique and comments:
Manual mode, shot RAW, F22, 1/250 sec, postprocessed in Nikon Capture for levels and sharpening, then to Photoshop for color profile conversion, down-sampling and saving for the web.
Comments on the Sigma EM 140 DG:
Sigma was willing to upgrade the macro flash to work with the D200 in iTTL mode (link 1 || link 2 || link 3 || came back from service in less than a week). A 1.5 positive exposure compensation still needed to be dialed in.
